Chili con Carne
Chili with meat, is a spicy stew containing chili peppers sometimes in the form of chili powder, meat usually beef, tomatoes and often kidney beans.
Ingredients
- ½ lb. ground beef.
- ½ chopped onion.
- 2 chopped garlic cloves
- 1 chopped celery stalk
- 1 cup seasoned tomato puree.
- 2 Tbsp. Yaesta Taco Sauce
- 2 Dona Elsita Bay leaves
- ¼ tsp. Dona Elsita Oregano
- 1 tsp. Dona Elsita ground Cumin
- 2 cups water
- 2 cans La Costena whole pinto beans.
- ½ tsp. Powdered beef bouillon.
- Cilantro leaves
METHOD
We like to make it easy

Fry ground beef in oil along with onion, garlic and celery.

When meat is no longer pink, add tomato puree, taco sauce, bay leaves, oregano, cumin and water. Cook for 5 minutes

Add beans and powdered bouillon and bring to a boil again. Simmer for 5 minutes. Serve with cilantro leaves and nacho chips.
